Sprinkler Fun

Our activities while in Florida are quickly getting passed up! It is just too hot. We can't stand the heat long enough to really enjoy much of any outdoor activity. Unless of course it involves water.

There is a cute little water area at a garden we visit each year. We've never been able to visit the water area for various reasons. There isn't much to it but you can tell by the pictures that both kids and adults enjoy it.

Elijah isn't so sure what to do just yet. He is slightly overwhelmed by all the other kids.

Ella was having a great time for about 7 minutes until she somehow collided with another little boy and scraped her foot. Really it was fine, I'm sure it hurt, but she was a bit dramatic (huge shock), and didn't really want to head back into the water.

When I told Elijah this was a big cat he fell. in. love. He just loves cats. He was hugging it and petting it!

Every kid there was doing this. Elijah watched intently for a long time. We found this hole that was just his height and he tried it out.

Start way back and follow your finger along the path of the water stream.

All the way until you get your finger in the hole.

That sounds entertaining, right?
Right?

Well, you can see this little girl behind him is doing it too!
Who needs expensive toys, just drill a hole in your wall, force a water stream out of it and viola, instant entertainment.

Afterwards we headed over to the gardens to dry off a bit. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish some pretzels and admiring the scenery. This place is a prime spot for photo taking. It is beautiful. We got a real cute one of the kids by a fountain. I'd like to go back again and take some more.
